Experiencing Global Worship: A Journey Around the World

A couple of years ago I embarked upon a mission trip that took me literally around this planet. I left San Francisco for Japan and then to the Philippines, and then went to Dubai and then to South Africa, and then back to the United States.

I was blessed to preach, testify, and participate in several ministries and church services. It was amazing to see and even participate in what God is doing around the globe in His church and with His people. To see people teaching and praying and worshiping in the Tagalog and Zulu languages was simply beautiful and refreshing, and the presence of the Holy Spirit was unlike anything I've ever experienced. There were tears and laughter and shouts of praise in the expressions of joy and worship that were much different than what we experience here in the United States. It was truly a beautiful, heartfelt, and sincere worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Witnessing Continuous Global Praise

On the way home I told my friend who had invited me to go on this trip, after we had been gone for almost a month, that since I left San Francisco, by the time I get home I will have traveled completely around this planet going through 24 time zones, and crossing over many countries. In every time zone, I realized that 24 hours a day, every hour, seven days a week, and in more than the 7,000 languages spoken on this planet, there was someone constantly raising their voice to the Lord!

A Glimpse of Heaven

It reminded me of what John revealed to us in Revelation 7:9:

“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”

What a reminder! Someday God will collect His own and bring them to His presence in the spirit of love, to be together forever in the power of Jesus Christ.

An Invitation to Salvation
